Singer Živilė Lamauskienė (soprano) was born in Šiauliai district, in Gruzdžiai town. She studied in the first music school in Šiauliai, from 1987 to 1992. Later in 1997 she began her vocal studies in the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and her teacher was Birutė Sodaitytė. Živilė continued her studies in singing department led by lector Vilkanauskaitė-Kukulskienė from 1999 to 2005. Žvilė received a Master’s degree in 2005. Živilė received a diploma for the performance of the folksongs in the singers’ contest organized by Vincė Jonuškaitė-Zaunienė in 2004. One year later Živilė participated in the festival Juventus with a chamber orchestra from Šiauliai. During her studies she managed to participate in concerts in the Kaunas State Musical Theatre and she is the singer in this theatre since 2005. She performed nearly thirty roles in various operettas, musicals and in performances for children. She was rewarded with a Golden Stage Cross for her performance as Liza in Emmerich Kálmán’s operetta Countess Mariza in 2007. Three years later Živilė successfully made her stage debut as Violetta Valéry in Giuseppe Verdi’s operea La Traviata. In 2012 Živilė successfully participated in II Tiit Kuusik International Lied Competition. Vladimir Prudnikov was her supervisor.
