Mantas Jančiauskas
Assistant conductor
Mantas Jančiauskas graduated from the Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium in Kaunas, chose to study choral conducting, and later orchestral conducting in the class of Ričardas Šumila, chief conductor of the Lithuanian National Ballet and Opera Theatre. He continued his studies and obtained a bachelor’s degree at the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University under Prof. J. Janulevičius, chief conductor of the Kaunas State Musical Theater. He is currently studying for a master’s degree in orchestral conducting. M. Jančiauskas works as a musical theatre conductor at the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University and as an assistant conductor of the Kaunas State Musical Theatre orchestra, where he arranges pieces for the theatre orchestra and has contributed to the staging of seven performances, several of which he conducts, including J. Styne’s musical Sugar.
