Povilas Padleckis
Opera singer (tenore) at Kaunas State Musical Theatre.
Povilas began his music studies at Kaunas Music School No. 1, in the piano class. After enrolling at the J. Gruodis Conservatory, he studied in the organ class. There he became interested in vocal studies (his first vocal teacher was B. Bagdonavičius). While studying, he participated in organist and international and national singer competitions in Poland, Finland, and Estonia. In 2011, he enrolled in the singing class of Prof. Virgilijus Noreika at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. In his first year of studies, he won first prize in the Stasys Baras Tenor Competition. In the same year, he created the role of Tony in Terrence McNally’s play Master Class at the Vilnius Small Theater and participates in various musical projects. He prepared tenor parts in cantatas by C. Franco and B. Britten. He studied in Italy with renowned tenor and vocal teacher Gianfranco Ceccele. Since 2015, he has been working at the Kaunas State Musical Theater.
